From the historic town of Jera, in Tuscany, Italy, John Vicini brought with him a passion and love of wine that was passed from one generation to another for over 150 years.

Now living and working with Cathy, his wife, and David, their son, they present to you exceptional California wines from the gently rolling vineyard covered hills of the Sonoma County, the Russian River, Rockpile, Mendocino, and the Dry Creek Valley appellations. John and Cathy have grown and sold their own premium Russian River grapes since 1994. In 1999, they expanded their family’s business into developing and introducing their own label, Trecini, representing the three Vicini’s: John, Cathy, and David. Trecini has become an award winning wine company producing premier reserve wines for any occasion.

Dan Barwick

In 1981, Dan Barwick, a native of England, took his first wine job in the wine department of Harrods in London. "That's where a wine germ settled and stayed in my head until I was ready to discover more," says Barwick. After a short stint in wholesale wine sales, Barwick hopscotched around the wine world for nine years, first a Matanzas Creek Winery in Sonoma's Bennett Valley, then Ferrai-Carano, over a Burgundy and then Stellenbosch and the Barossa Valley, before coming back to Sonoma County and Martin Ray Winery, and finally Paradise Ridge where he started working with Trecini. Since 1999, Dan has made seven consecutive vintages of Trecini and looks forward to introducing new, creative, and extremely flavorful wines.

“The Vicini family has over 150 years of wine making heritage in Tuscany. For us, good food and wine are daily ingredients for living a good life. We bring this passion to our single vineyard Sonoma County wines.” - Dan Barwick

2007 Russian River Valley Merlot

CHAIRMAN'S AWARD ♦ 2 BEST OF CLASS ♦ 8 GOLDS!

The color of the wine is a deep red almost opaque. Your nose will experience black cherries, plums, dried cherries, charcoal, toast, dried herbs, minerals, all setting into a varietal correct smell. The palate has a broad entry followed by a full-middle based feeling on the tongue. This wine is balanced and has good structure. Lots of minerals, dustiness, dried fruits, pomegranate, roasted nuttiness, jolly ranchers, and sweet fruits add to a long tasty finish.

2009 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

BEST OF CLASS ♦ DOUBLE GOLD ♦ NEW RELEASE!

2009 was again a much cooler growing season in Northern California than we are accustomed to. The result of which is a Pinot Noir wine showing a great deal of finesse showing off a real sense of terroir and an abundance of sweet Red Fruits, with Strawberry, Raspberry and Red Currant fighting for the lime light. These aromas and flavors are backed up by notes of spice, red licorice, cola and perhaps a touch of menthol.

2006 Rockpile Zinfandel

7 GOLD MEDALS!

Our Zinfandel from the Rockpile Appellation is big, bold, smooth, and memorable. It's all you love from a Zinfandel. Imagine the tannins mellowing down over the next year and starting to reveal some of that famous Rockpile upfront fruit. The mouth feel and finish have to be tasted to be believed. The palate is a complex mix of spice, blueberry, blackberry, nice dense red fruit, and orchestrated dashes of oak and spice. Mid palate tannins are present followed by the rocky chalky tannins that last for quite a while. Even after you’re done you will experience mocha, dill, anise and a small hint of spicy plum.

2007 Rockpile Zinfandel

CHAIRMAN'S GOLD ♦ BEST OF CLASS ♦ NEW RELEASE!

2007 will be known for a long time as an exceptionally good year for growing grapes in Sonoma County. One of the regions finest appellations for growing Zinfandel is the heralded ‘Rockpile’ AVA in the northern realms of the Dry Creek Valley. The grapes grown for this wine came from several different blocks, which included 4 different clones taken from old vine block plantings of Zinfandel throughout Sonoma County. St. Peters Church clone is one of these clones, which has shown more than a few exceptional qualities grown in these sparse and rugged rock strewn soils that typifyRockpile.

2006 Sonoma County Syrah

18 AWARDS!

This 2006 Sonoma County Syrah is a wholesome and delicious wine that would be right at home alongside your favorite comfort foods. Our Syrah delivers hearty and rich, but not at all overbearing. It floats in the mouth and its soft tannic structure give the wine a wonderful mouthfeel, while its lush aromatics and flavors provide a luxuriant drinking experience.

2009 Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc

BEST OF CLASS ♦ 2 GOLD MEDALS. Our Sauvignon Blanc won the 2010 Sonoma County Harvest Fair BEST OF CLASS & 2 GOLD's! Truly a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc.

This wine displays a brilliant, almost sparkling Lime green hue. The nose is beautifully complex with a rich depth ofminerality, melon, and crisp grapefruit. The palate is powerfully refreshing. This minerality persists intertwining with the fruit as it expands across the palate to an almost seamless finish. Small poping of tropical flavors and crisp clean acidity throughout the wines delicious journey. Small hints of lime, sweet lemon-grass, and clean minerality help drive this complex and very satisfying Sauvignon Blanc to the last drop.

2008 Late Harvest Russian River Sauvignon Blanc 375 ml

Through the process, the wine developed seductive aromas of peach, apricot, ginger and buttered toast. The wine is high in residual sugar yet incredibly balanced with a rich, complex, honeyed character.
